Visiting Illustrator!

Posted: February 18, 2011 in Events

Stop the presses, everybody, because here at library blog headquarters we have just become aware of a very exciting development.  Sue de Gennaro, the artist responsible for illustrating children’s books such as The Princess and the Packet of Frozen Peas and  The Tomorrow Book, is coming to visit!  She will give a talk and run a workshop for all Year 7 classes to get them inspired as they start their book cover project (remember how much fun this was last year?).  Sue is a very interesting individual who studied film at university and worked as a teacher, contemporary dancer and trapeze artist before deciding to be an illustrator.  You can see more of her art at her blog.  We here at the library blog are very excited about meeting Sue and are thinking of all the many many questions we would like to ask her about life and art and running away with the circus.  She will be here at the Uni High library on March 10th and we are really looking forward to her workshops!
