Book Trailers: We Made One! So Can You.

Posted: June 17, 2011 in Uncategorized

We at library blog headquarters are very, very excited today, because this morning marked an important milestone in our ongoing love affair with both books and the internet: we made our very own book trailer!  As you know we have been obsessed with book trailers for quite some time now, and today, after having read Lucy Christopher’s novel Stolen, we were inspired to have a go at making our own.  Is it as good as the greatest book trailer ever?  Probably not.  But it’s ours and we are very pleased with it.

We made our book trailer using Windows Movie Maker with images and music we found on the internet. We made a storyboard first to decide what we wanted to say about the book: we wanted to give hints about the plot, but not tell the whole story! Then we put all our images, text and sounds together to create the masterpiece that you have just witnessed. After that, we were quite exhausted and had several cups of tea.  We hope to see some students making book trailers as the year goes on: if you make one, let us know!
